Royals' Sohail Tanvir Wears The IPL Purple Cap

Rajasthan Royals 23-year-old fast bowler Sohail Tanvir from Pakistan earned the 'Purple Cap' for emerging the leading wicket-taker in the inaugural IPL.

Tanvir finished his IPL stint with a haul of 22 wickets, but scored an important four off the last ball to guide Royals to a famous win over Chennai.

"I was hoping that Tanvir was going to be on strike for the final ball and thankfully he was," skipper Warne said of Tanvir.

"I don't think I have experienced the spirit we've had in this team in any other during my 20 years in cricket," Warne said of the team spirit existing in the Royals.
