Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday adjourned hearing of the fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar’s writ petition seeking to overturn the original five-year ban imposed on him by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that was later reduced to 18 months by an appellate tribunal.
Shoaib Akhtar on Monday filed a fresh appeal against the ban for indiscipline.
The 32-year-old paceman was banned for five years by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) disciplinary committee in April for several incidents of indiscipline and violating the conditions of two-year probation.
The ban was later reduced to 18 months by an appellate tribunal with a fine of seven million rupees earlier this month.
